SHIPPING POLICY

DELIVERY LEAD TIME

Delivery times provided by us are non-binding estimates based on the best available information at the time the estimates are made. These estimated delivery times will be considered accepted by you unless you notify us in writing of any disagreement within seven days of order placement. Special delivery conditions requested by you should be given in writing at the time of order placement and considered by us. If necessary, conditions and charges may change accordingly.

DELIVERY CHARGES

Delivery charges for most products are based on the size and weight of the products ordered and the delivery address. However, UK delivery charges for some products are based on the order value of those products, including free delivery for orders above certain values. You can check these charges at the Shopping Cart or Checkout. Please note that delivery charges for large items can be significantly higher than for smaller items. If you have any issues with delivery charges, please get in touch with us, and we will work out the best quote for you.

Deliveries outside the UK are subject to local VAT at the rate of the country of destination. Once the shipment reaches the destination country, the relevant authorities or the courier company will contact you with further information on these charges, which you must pay before the goods can be delivered. In the event of failed delivery and the goods being returned to the UK, new delivery fees will be charged.

NOTE: Multiple-product orders are charged depending on your delivery destination and the net weight of items. Sometimes products may arrive separately, but you will only be charged one shipping fee per order. Please provide a full postal address for delivery – we cannot ship to PO Boxes.

VAT (Value Added Tax)

All prices on our website are inclusive of applicable UK VAT at the current rates. Customers from outside the UK (including countries in the European Union) do not need to pay UK VAT. However, customers from outside the UK (including countries in the European Union) will be liable for paying any applicable local VAT or similar sales taxes. Once the shipment reaches its destination country, the relevant authorities or the shipping company will contact you with further information on such taxes, which you must pay before the goods can be delivered.

DELIVERY OF STANDARD ITEMS

Standard items are shipped directly from their suppliers in China and are usually dispatched within 5 - 7 working days. These items have a delivery time of 4 - 8 weeks. We will provide you with the tracking details for your delivery as soon as they are available.

Please check for any damage to the packaging; if you have any issues with your delivery, please contact the courier company directly or get in touch with us. Please note that this delivery service is non-timed and kerbside only.

DELIVERY OF MADE-TO-ORDER ITEMS

Large items and items labelled as Made-to-Order are delivered using a freight forwarding service. Made-to-Order items have an estimated lead time of 14 - 18 weeks and are delivered at street level. The delivery personnel will bring your items to the front door or the closest possible ground floor location (such as the lobby). They will not go upstairs or enter the residence (due to liability reasons). The customer is responsible for transport beyond this point. It would be best if you were prepared for this. Our obligation is to get the product to you safely but not inside your house. The order is left in the original packaging. Deliveries do not include unpacking, assembly, or installation. Your home delivery will be scheduled with an estimated date of delivery given by the courier company. In the event of failed delivery outside the UK, new delivery fees will be charged.

All orders must be signed for upon delivery. If no one is available to sign for the delivery, the courier will return the item(s) to their facility, in which case, please get in touch with the courier to rearrange the delivery. On receipt of the goods, please check the packaging before opening it, and photograph any external damage before signing the delivery confirmation. In the unlikely event that the item has also been damaged, the courier company/driver must be informed directly upon delivery; it is important to keep the packaging as the courier company must view the contents for any claim to be accepted. Failure to do so will be taken as acceptance by you that all goods were received in perfect condition, and no claim can be made for a repair or replacement.

IMPORT TAXES & DUTIES

Orders outside the UK are shipped on a Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis, meaning customs import taxes and duties are excluded from the final price. Therefore, your order may be subject to local taxes and import duties, which are levied by your local customs authority or the used shipping carrier.

Unfortunately, we cannot calculate the exact amount of duties and taxes your order might incur, as these charges are imposed directly by the destination country and vary between countries.

Payment of these fees is necessary to release your goods. Failure to make payment will result in delays and potential storage fees for which InHouse Design cannot be held responsible, and ultimately the return of the goods and further costs accrued. The customer is fully responsible for checking their country’s unique policies and rulings concerning imports. InHouse Design cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred from the release of goods from any customs office. Please be advised that we reserve the right to deduct 20% of the total value of the order from any refund to cover return, storage, and insurance for shipment of goods refused by the customer at Customs in the destination country.
